Battle of Brightlingsea

I was woken early this morning, I was told, get down to the port gates, there's something going on. 0500hrs at the port gates, a 60 seater coach had been smuggled to the port under the cover of darkness. The coach had no wheels at the front and it was blocking the gates to the wharf. It had been positioned so cars could come and go, but big lorries could not pass. Campaigners calling themselves the "Ecko Warriors" had handcuffed and welded themselves in, under and onto the vehicle.
The coach was at the port gates for most of the day. Eventually the police turned up with cutting gear to release the "Ecko Warriors" along with a tow truck, to take away the coach. There were some minor injuries.
