Battle of Brightlingsea

Maff Inspectors check all the lorries, before they enter Brightlingsea.

The sheep were sometimes tightly packed into the lorries.

The demonstrations continue and after over a month of live exports the numbers are still large, but still no convoys have been stopped entering the port. The police will let the protestors move in front of the lorries, but will not let the convoy stop.

If there is a hold up the police will push the demonstrators forward, physically. If protestors resist, a warning is given that arrests will be made if they do not move on.

The early morning demonstrations attract a wide variety of people.
